Plant Description
This species is particularly recognizable for its exceptionally long, soft, finger-like tubercles, which project outward from the stem and give the plant its distinctive appearance. Small areoles occur near the tips of the tubercles and bear a modest number of slender spines.
Its striking yellow flowers provide a beautiful contrast against the green body. The elongated tubercles are the principal identifying feature that distinguishes Mammillaria longimamma from many other members of its genus.
